ABOUT ME

I've enjoyed baking ever since I can remember. As a child, I would help my mom decorate cut-out Christmas cookies and birthday cakes. I can even recall making fresh "mud pies" out back and decorating them with rocks from my brother's fish tanks. It's been a hobby that I've always piddled around with, but since I've had children, I wanted to make something for them that was comparable, if not better, than what I could buy at a bakery.

My mother-in-law helped me to make my son's first birthday cake, and from then on, I knew that this was something I wanted to get better at. That was in 2004 and after taking several classes and working on some self-taught techniques, my cake hobby has become a passion that I am proud of. I am so honored to know that my family, neighbors, and friends don't have to go to the local grocery store or a fancy bakery to get a cake for their special occasion. I am confident that I can create a great tasting and beautiful custom cake, made just for them.

My pictures are arranged so that the most recent cake I've done is displayed first, so hopefully, by the time you've gone through all the images, you will see my improvement. My hope is that with each cake I do, I just get better and better.

As much as I have enjoyed baking and decorating special occasion cakes for lots of wonderful people over the years, I am unable to work legally from my home and sell to the general public. Until I find a licensed kitchen and make this leap into a full time job, I will only be doing cakes as gifts to my family and friends.
